Globally, US equity markets declined overnight after a poor auction of 30-year bonds followed a rise in Treasury yields. Major indices such as the Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite slipped up to 1 per cent.
Meanwhile, Asia-Pacific markets were mixed ahead of Chinese inflation data this morning. Barring Nikkei 225 index, other indices like Kospi, Kosdaq and S&P 200 fell up to 0.7 per cent.
In the commodity basket, both Brent crude and WTI crude prices fell 0.3 per cent to USD 84 per barrel and USD 77 per barrel, respectively.
