Stocks to watch: Vodafone Idea, TCS, Bajaj Auto, GAIL

Domestic stock indices are likely to trade cautiously on Thursday, taking cues from Asian peers. Asian stocks fell amid concerns over aggressive rate hikes by central banks and risks of a global recession.

Trends on SGX Nifty indicated a flat start for the domestic markets. Nifty futures, also known as SGX Nifty futures, closed 11.20 points or 0.07 per cent higher at 15,412.20 on the Singapore Exchange.

The 30-share BSE Sensex had closed 710 points or 1.35 per cent lower at 51,823, while the broader NSE Nifty was down 226 points or 1.44 per cent at 15,413.

Here are the stocks to watch during today’s session:

Vodafone Idea: The telecom operator said it will raise equity investment of Rs 436.21 crore from UK-based promoter firm Vodafone Group. Vodafone Idea is jointly promoted by UK-based Vodafone Group and India’s Aditya Birla Group.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): India’s largest software firm has secured a deal in Aadhar Housing Finance to drive business process transformation for an undisclosed amount. According to a statement, the domestic housing financier will deploy the debt and securitization platform of the Tata group company for market expansion.

Bajaj Auto: The automaker informed exchanges that its board of directors will meet on June 27 to consider the proposal for buyback of shares.

Gail: The country’s largest gas transportation and marketing firm GAIL (India) Ltd said it plans to enter distributed liquefied natural gas (LNG) production to deliver fuel to users.

IRB Infra: IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd said it has received Rs 308 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for part payment of the arbitration award.

Besides this, Indiabulls Housing Finance, RBL Bank and Sun TV are the three stocks in the F&O (futures and options) restriction period today.
