Stone pelting in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri during ‘Shobha Yatra’ of Hanuman Jayanti
Incidents of stone pelting came to light during a procession named ‘Shobha Yatra’ from Jahangirpuri area of Delhi on Saturday evening.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Anyesh Rai, who is looking after the work of Delhi Police PRO, said that there was a ruckus during the procession in Jahangir Puri. There have been reports of stone pelting and sporadic arson on people walking in the procession.
The DCP said that all the top officials are on the spot. “The situation is under control and additional forces have been deployed,” the official said.
