Stop vandalizing opposition party offices, actor Parambrata tells TMC

Mr Chatterjee, who has featured in Kahaani, Pari and Bulbul, is known as a sympathizer of TMC.

“The vandalism in the offices of the opposition party after a resounding electoral victory, needs to stop now! Even if it is just an example! And I am saying this as a sympathizer of the current government in Bengal. I am asking the leaders to cadre this. Urge to stop such acts. This only vitiates the mandate,” tweeted the Aranyak actor.

Mr Chatterjee said there was little merit in finding excuses and passing the buck. “Who started it, how many atrocities the previous government did, these cannot be excuses. It was very wrong then, it is equally wrong now. Please, be a citizen in victory, honored in victory!” she added.

TMC has won 134 out of 144 wards of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The BJP won three wards, and the CPI(M)-led Left Front and the Congress won two each. Independent candidates won three seats.

Meanwhile, the TMC has rubbished the allegations of the attacks.
