Students demand cancellation of CBSE, CISCE Term 2 exams amid rise in Covid cases

As COVID-19 cases rise in the country, especially in the national capital Delhi, students appearing for class 10, 12 board exams for CBSE and CISCE have demanded cancellation of the exams.

The students are now demanding that Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) And the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has canceled the 10th, 12th Term 2 examinations citing the rise in Kovid-19 cases and synonymous health issue.

Students, parents have taken to micro-blogging site Twitter with their demands for cancellation of board exams by following MCQ pattern, home center and other alternate routes.

ICSE, ISC Semester 2 Exam 2022 is scheduled to start from 25 April 25, while CBSE Term 2 The exam will be held from April 26.

Sukamal Jha, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya told Careers360 That he is worried about appearing in the 2nd class 12th exam from 26th April out of fear that he might get affected by Kovid-19 again. “I got affected by COVID-19 a month before Term-1 exam last year and have suffered a lot. Though I have taken vaccines, still the fear of getting affected by COVID-19 is hindering my preparation I am not mentally stable to appear for Term-II examination, requesting CBSE to cancel the board examinations and find an alternate route for evaluation,” Jha said.

Jha’s parents are also worried about their son’s health and career. His father Prashant Jha said, “My son’s performance in the first term was affected due to COVID-19 and this time also he was not mentally prepared to appear in the 12th examination. I am really worried about his career. Am.”

ICSE, ISC Semester 2 Exam The first day will start with the English paper. The class 10 and class 12 exams will be conducted for the duration of one hour 30 minutes. While class 10 exams will be held from 10 am, class 12 semester 2 exams will be conducted from 2 pm.

The CBSE Term 2 paper will have both objective and subjective questions – case-based, situation-based, open-ended short answer and long answer type questions. Term 2 exam will be conducted for a duration of two hours.
