Wonje UHM, Deputy Consul General of the Republic of South Korea in Chennai, offered to promote Sri City among Korean companies interested in investing in India and suggested business delegations to visit the industrial area.

“Given several advantages like strategic location, reliable power and water supply, availability of skilled and unskilled manpower required in the area, some companies would prefer Sri City for their investments in India,” he said during his visit to the embassy. A non-profit organization working under the aegis of Chennai-based Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) with Jihwan Eun, DG and Taiwan Kim, certified customs attorneys, at Sri City on Wednesday.

Sri City’s Founder Managing Director Ravindra Sanareddy, who accompanied the delegation, highlighted the infrastructure, unique features and rapid pace of development taking place in and around Sri City. He drew their attention to the investment options available in various sectors, financial incentives from the state and central governments and specific local advantages.

The objective of the visit was to view the excellent infrastructure available in the Mega Industrial Park and assess its commercial potential. The delegation also visited the Hyundai Engineering Plastics (HDC) production unit and got a close glimpse of the work in progress. Mr. City’s President (Operations) Satish Kamat warmly welcomed the team.
