Subway sandwich proved to be costly for model, fined Rs 1.43 lakh at airport

There are plenty of fast-food outlets like Domino’s or Subway that can easily be eaten on the go. However, can you imagine that if a Subway sandwich costs you Rs. 1.43 lakh rupees? An Australian model named Jessica Lee was heavily fined by customs officials at an Australian airport. The reason behind this was that she failed to declare the two materials to the customs authorities after disembarking from her trip to Europe.

The story was shared by the 19-year-old on his social media handle, where the video garnered thousands of views. Jessica Lee was traveling from Europe to Australia and bought a foot tall Subway Sandwich at your stopover at Singapore airport after a long 11 hour flight. “I ate six inches before my second flight and then saved the other six inches for the flight they’re happier with,” she revealed according to the video Sun,

However, Lee was not able to finish the Subway sandwich and did not even announce her meal upon arrival in Australia. Airport customs. “I thought the little announcement you made is for your carry-on and your stuff, so I didn’t stick to chicken and I didn’t tick to lettuce,” Lee said. This resulted in the imposition of a fine of $2,664 or Rs. 1.43 lakh to be paid within 28 days. Also, Jessica had recently quit her job and was wondering how she would pay her rent and such a huge fine. “I know it’s my fault and I take ownership; I’m paying the fine.
