Sugar export ban: Center curbs sugar exports in an effort to pacify inflation

After the ban on export of wheat, the export of sugar will be limited to 10 million tonnes. Why? The government is trying to meet the domestic sugar requirement and ensure stable prices. This has happened for the first time in six years.
