During the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2022 held on 6 November, an admit card with the image of actor Sunny Leone was found with a candidate. The incident came to light when the principal of Rudrappa College, where the exam was held, lodged a complaint with the cybercrime police. The candidate stated that he did not fill the online application and asked others to do so on his behalf.
After the screenshot of the admit card went viral, the state education department has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Karnataka Congress social media president BR Naidu blamed the education department for this and shared a picture of the admit card on Twitter.
“The photograph of the blue-chip star has been published instead of the candidate in the admit card for the recruitment of teachers. What else can one expect from a blue film-watching party in the House? @BCNagesh_bjp Hey, if you want to see a blue-chip star, hang a photo, don’t use the Department of Education! Naidu tweeted.

Commenting on Naidu’s post, a Twitter user said, “If this has indeed happened, it is unforgivable! @BSBommai ji… it seems to be a serious matter, although it sounds funny to some! Definitely damaging to the credibility of your government!” (sic)
While another user sharing a picture of the card wrote, “Karnataka TET exam admit card is in Sunny Leone adult photo. The Congress has alleged that it is the fault of the KA Education Department, which the government has denied. However, the candidate said, she took the help of her husband’s friend in filling the form and uploading the photograph on the examination portal. (sic)
According to the police, there must have been a glitch while uploading the photograph of the candidate while filling the application form. The education department said in a statement that the candidates have to fill the online application for which a user ID and password is generated, which is available only to the candidates.

The department said that it has no role in making the exam hall ticket as it is to be done by the candidates only. “Whatever the media is reporting on this issue, the department has no role. Nevertheless, we have requested the police to investigate the matter and initiate action against those responsible for the incident.
Earlier, during a university examination in Muzaffarpur, Uttar Pradesh, the admit card of a BA (Hons) student had Sunny Leone and Emraan Hashmi as their mother and father. The incident is of Dhanraj Bhagat Degree College. After interrogation, it was found that the admit card belonged to 20-year-old Kundan Kumar, who must have played mischief himself.
