Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their only second win in IPL 2021 on Monday night, but that didn’t change their position in the points table. They are still sitting at the bottom. However, this result missed Rajasthan Royals’ chance of making it to the top four. With 8 points from 10 matches, Sanju Samson & Co finds itself in the sixth position. A win here would have moved them into the top four. We have four teams with eight points from 10 matches and realistically two to grab a top-four spot.

We finally have a new Orange Cap holder! In place of Shikhar Dhawan, Sanju Samson played a brilliant innings of 82 runs in just 57 balls. Sanju scored 433 runs after 10 matches, which is three more than Dhawan. When DC play KKR on Tuesday, Dhawan will have a chance to take over the captaincy. Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul is currently at number three with 401 runs in 10 matches. Faf du Plessis is fourth with 394 runs and Ruturaj Gaikwad is in fifth place with 362 runs.

Harshal Patel showed his mettle by taking a hat-trick against Mumbai Indians. This means that he now has the Purple Cap with 23 wickets, eight more than his next rival, Delhi Capitals’ Avesh Khan. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is at the third spot with 14 wickets, followed by Chris Morris of Rajasthan, who has also taken 14 wickets. Rashid Khan of Sunrisers Hyderabad is in fifth place with 13 wickets.
