He said that on the night of December 11, Charan went to the house of other victims in Pragati Nagar where he partyed for hours and decided to take a late night joy ride.

They were all under the influence of alcohol, Mr Reddy said.

“When they arrived at the Coca-Cola factory, the stage failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of the wheels and hit a trailer parked on the side of the road,” he said. Although the airbags opened, they could not save them as they flew into the air due to the impact of the accident.
