Suzlon Energy bags 144.9 MW order from Aditya Birla Group

Suzlon Energy on Tuesday said it has secured an order for the development of 144.9 MW wind power projects for the Aditya Birla Group.

Suzlon will install a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and 69 units of Wind Turbine Generators (Wind Turbines) with rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.

The project is located in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and is expected to be commissioned in 2023.

Suzlon Energy Key rights issue Opened on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, worth Rs 1,200 crore. Under a rights issue, new equity shares are offered by a company who are existing shareholders. In addition, these existing shareholders get the right to buy new shares by using their ‘Rights Entitlements’. The last date for the rights issue has been set as October 20, 2022.

Company up to 240 crores partly paid-up equity shares for cash. will issue at the cost of 5 per share (inclusive of premium of Rs.) 3 per rights equity share) inclusive 1,200 crores.

Suzlon’s Promoters and Promoter Group have confirmed their participation and will fully subscribe to the extent of their entitlement.

Suzlon Energy Limited Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Himanshu Modi said on Tuesday that the company will be able to reduce its debt. 583.5 crore, if its rights are worth the issue 1,200, which is launched on October 11, 2022, gets fully subscribed.
