Suzuki Intruder 150 cruiser discontinued in India: Here’s why – Times of India

suzuki Motorcycle India Limited has removed the Intruder 150 cruiser motorcycle from its official website, confirming that the bike has finally been discontinued. Originally launched back in 2017, the Intruder 150 took visual inspiration from the larger Intruder M800 and M1800 motorcycles, and uses the same powertrain as the Gixxer 150.
However, sales of the Intruder 150 were never really successful in the Indian market. The entry-level cruiser motorcycle has been discontinued as a result of disappointing sales. The Intruder 150 draws power from a 154.9 cc single-cylinder engine that makes 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine came with a 5-speed transmission.
Suspension duties on the motorcycle were handled by conventional telescopic forks with a monoshock at the front. The braking setup consisted of disc brakes at both the ends along with single-channel ABS. Suzuki Intruder 150 Introduced directly against Bajaj Avenger in the Indian market.
As of now, Suzuki has no replacement line for the Intruder 150 in the near future. Suzuki recently launched the V-Strom SX in the country at a starting price of Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The 250 cc adventure touring motorcycle is based on the same platform as the Gixxer 250, and rivals the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan as well as the Yezdi Adventure in India.
