Suzuki Katana Price: Suzuki Katana Launched in India at Rs 13.61 Lakh; Engine Specs, Features, Colors | – times of India

After teasing it several times last week, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has now finally launched katana The base price in the Indian market is Rs 13.61 lakh (ex-showroom). The litre-class motorcycle was upgraded for the global markets earlier this year to comply with Euro V emission norms.
The Katana is powered by a 999 cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline four-cylinder engine that makes 152 PS of maximum power along with 106 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets a bi-directional quickshifter with throttle-by-wire, a slipper clutch, as well as a five-level traction control system.

The suspension setup consists of fully adjustable inverted telescopic forks at the front, along with a link-type coil spring at the rear. The Katana gets dual disc brakes at the front, paired with a single unit at the rear along with Brembo calipers. Suzuki is offering the motorcycle in India in two color options – Metallic Mystic Silver and Metallic Stellar Blue.
Equipment offered with the bike includes LCD display, LED headlight, tail light and turn signals, Suzuki Intelligent Rider System (SIRS) with Suzuki Traction Control System, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, Low RPM Assist and Suzuki Easy Start System . A black-and-grey dual-tone seat, dual-channel ABS and more. It gets three different throttle maps – Active, Basic and Comfort. The new semi-faired litre-class motorcycle takes on the BMW F 900 XR and Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX in the Indian market.
