Suzuki Motorcycle India registers sales of 76,230 units in July 2022: Access 125, V-Strom SX, Katana and more – Times of India

This has helped the Japanese manufacturer register a positive year-on-year (YoY) growth of 4.3% as compared to July 2021.
However, the company’s June 2022 sales numbers stood at 68,018 units, which means it reported a decline in month-on-month (MoM) sales to 7,126 units. As of now, Suzuki’s portfolio in India includes reach 125Burgman Street, and Avenis Scooter, and Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, v strom SX, V-Strom 650XT, Hayabusa and Katana motorcycles.
Katana is the latest motorcycle to be launched by the company in India. With a base price of Rs 13.61 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle takes on the likes of BMW F 900 XR and Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX in the Indian market. Suzuki is offering the motorcycle in India with two color options – Metallic Mystic Silver and Metallic Stellar Blue.
The Katana is powered by a 999 cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline four-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 152 PS along with 106 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox. The Katana gets a bi-directional quickshifter with throttle-by-wire, a slipper clutch as well as a five-level traction control system.
