The BJP has issued a show cause notice to Singh and asked him to reply within 10 days to avoid expulsion from the party.
The suspension letter, signed by party’s Central Disciplinary Committee member Om Pathak, said Singh’s statement was found to be contrary to the party’s position.
“You have expressed contrary views of the Party’s position on various matters, which is a clear violation of Rule XXV 10(a) of the Constitution of the Bharatiya Janata Party. I am directed to inform you that for further investigation, You have been suspended from the party and from your responsibilities/actions, if any, with immediate effect,” the letter said.

Earlier today Hyderabad Police arrested BJP MLA for his derogatory remarks. A criminal case was registered against the MLA after continuous protests at Dabirpura police station and Hyderabad CP office.
Singh allegedly made an objectionable video in response to stand-up comedian Munawwar Farooqui’s recent show in Hyderabad.
In the video, he spoke out against members of a community, accusing him of doing blasphemous comedy in the past, apart from using abusive language against Munawwar.
‘Ready to die for Sanatan Dharma’
Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh on Tuesday said that he is ready to die to protect Sanatan Dharma. He said that he will upload another video protesting comedian Munawwar Farooqui’s remarks on Lord Ram in a show.
The social media platform took down the comic video uploaded by Raja Singh on the request of the police.
Raja Singh questioned how the police could protect a comedian who made derogatory remarks about Hindu gods and still allowed his show.
