Speaking on YouTube channel ‘Uncut’, Amir gave his verdict on the comparison between Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi and Bumrah, terming them “fools”. He also praised Afridi and termed him as the “best bowler this time” in his country. “It would be foolish to compare Bumrah with Shaheen right now because Shaheen is still young, he is learning. Bumrah has been doing well for India for a long time and he is doing so well. He is the best T20 bowler, I think That right now especially in the death overs”, Amir said.
Shaheen is the best bowler of Pakistan this time. The way he has been performing in the last one and a half years. So it will be a good match. Bumrah bowls brilliantly with the new ball and Shaheen is the best among youngsters when the ball is new”, he added.
India will face Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday and both sides will aim to start their campaign with a win.
Bumrah featured in India’s warm-up match against England on Monday and took one wicket for 26 runs in four overs. The pacer was not involved in the other warm-up match against Australia.

Afridi was part of his team’s playing XI in his team’s warm-up match against the West Indies on Monday and he was dismissed for 41 runs in four overs.
He also played in the other warm-up match against South Africa on Wednesday and took two wickets for 30 runs in his four overs.
