South Africa Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada insisted on Monday that the “discord” has to stop as the Proteas look to bounce back from a terrible start t20 world cup. South Africa lost to Australia by five wickets in their opening match of Super 12 on Saturday, scoring just 118 runs in 20 overs. The only piece of comfort was that Tuesday’s opponents, defending champions West Indies, were even worse. He got out for a disappointing 55. England and lost by six wickets.
Rabada said, “We see (batting) as a concern. The last thing we need to do is keep bragging about it and about it.”
That was despite Rabada coming in at number nine.
One of the main talking points was the bizarre dismissal of Quinton de Kock.
The opener was bowled by Josh Hazlewood, but only after the ball bounced over him, the left-hander helplessly looped over the stumps and then looked down.
De Kock was one of his team’s first three wickets, falling for only 23 runs.
It was a disappointing outing for the 28-year-old, who had scored five half-centuries in his last eight innings in the format.
“Quinton is a high quality player, and I think it just hasn’t arrived,” Rabada said.

“Quinton is a big player for us. He has done really well since he started playing for South Africa. He is a world class player, and he just needs to go in and do his job.”
