Taliban: Now Taliban officials will behead silent effigies citing Sharia law violations – Times of India

Herat: Another action after ban on music in vehicles Taliban Will now lead to the beheading of “mannequins” in clothing stores Herat province of AfghanistanThe news agency Sputnik has quoted Afghan media as saying.
The Taliban will now target silent “mannequins” used in clothing stores because their use violates Sharia law.
Directorate of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (DPVPV) has passed this order and now the shopkeepers are disappointed.
Shopkeepers in Herat province in Afghanistan are upset and reportedly said they only have the effigies. He said he paid $100-$200 for the mannequins.
Sputnik reported that shoppers had previously been told to get rid of entire effigies, but the rule was changed when they complained that the ban would affect their already struggling business.
Earlier the DPVPV had also advised drivers not to transport women who are not wearing hijab. The Taliban regime has been taking repressive measures against women and the status of women has worsened since the takeover. Work and education for women have been banned.
They are not allowed to travel alone for a distance of more than 72 km from their homes unless they are accompanied by a male guardian.
When Afghanistan fell to the Taliban in August 2021, the Taliban resolved to begin “reforms”. This is contrary to what is happening in the country.
