The 12th class examination of TN Board was conducted between March 13 and April 3. This year around 8.5 lakh students appeared in the 12th class examination. To pass the TN board exams in 2023, students need to score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject.

Tamil Nadu Board conducts the revaluation process for the candidates who want to re-check their answer sheets for errors. The applications for the revaluation process will be released on the official website after the declaration of the results of the board. Compartment exams are conducted by the board for those students who could not clear the exam in the first attempt. TN HSE Compartment Exam applications will also be released on the official website after the declaration of board results.

In 2022, a total of 8,062,77 students appeared for their class 12 board exams. The Tamil Nadu State Board had reported an overall pass percentage of 93.76 per cent last year. Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 96.32 per cent as compared to boys’ pass percentage of 90.96 per cent.
