A Chennai court on Monday dismissed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala’s plea against her removal in the party’s general council in 2017.
AM Babu Murugavel, joint secretary of the party’s legal wing, said the court rejected their plea after a dialogue application by AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and joint coordinator K Palaniswami.
Sasikala had earlier moved the city’s civil court, contending that the AIADMK General Council held in 2017, which expelled her as general secretary, was not valid.
The General Council was organized in the wake of the merger of the then separate factions led by Panneerselvam and Palaniswami.
