Tata brings Kaziranga variant to SUV line-up

Tata has introduced new Kaziranga variants for its entire SUV line-up from Punch to Safari. These new variants get exterior and interior changes along with some new features as compared to the standard model.

Coming to the pricing, the Kaziranga variant of the Punch is based on the top-spec Creative trim and its price starts at Rs 8.59 lakh. The Kaziranga versions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari, meanwhile, are based on the XZ+ variant, and are priced at ₹11.79 Lakh, ₹20.41 Lakh and ₹21 Lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) respectively.

On the exterior, the Kaziranga Edition SUVs come in an exclusive Grassland Beige paint shade with contrasting blacked-out treatment for the roof, wheels, wing mirrors and other chrome bits. The front fenders of the SUV have a blacked-out rhino motif and special door scuff plates with ‘Kaziranga’ written on it. The rhino motif is also present on the rear windscreen.

Inside, the SUVs come with a dual-tone scheme with earthy beige leather upholstery and an all-black dashboard. The Nexon, Harrier and Safari get wood trims in the middle of the dashboard, while the Punch gets an earthy beige tri-arrow finish. The door pads and seat upholstery also get the dual-tone black and bronze treatment, with the front seat headrest featuring the silhouette of a one-horned rhinoceros.

In terms of features, the Punch gets Tata’s IRA Connected Car technology and an air purifier, while the Nexon gets ventilated front seats, air purifier and auto-dimming IRVM. The Harrier and Safari also get air purifiers with ventilated front seats, IRA Connected Car Tech, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Additionally, the Safari also gets ventilated second row seats similar to the Gold Edition model.

The Kaziranga variant is just a cosmetic work-up and hence all the SUVs remain mechanically unchanged.
