Tata Motors launches Ace EV cargo vehicle: 39,000 bookings registered – Times of India

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Launched today’s electric version ace Cargo Vehicle, the first EV in the company’s CV portfolio. The company also signed an MoU with several e-commerce and logistics companies like Flipkart, under which Electric Ace will be employed in their respective fleets. The price of the EV will be announced when deliveries begin in the next quarter.
Tata Motors says the Electric Ace has been ‘co-developed with our customers to meet their needs’. It boasts a brand new evogen The platform is there and will also be supported by a technology enabled Fleet Management System called Fleet Edge. The EV will also support fast charging and promises a range of 150 km.
The company says that the last-mile delivery industry in India is set to grow to USD 6-7 billion by 2024. In addition, Tata Motors has ‘already gained huge acceptance in the electric bus segment.’

Ace was first launched in 2005 and now after 17 years, the vehicle has been electrified after selling over 23 lakhs. Ace currently has 70 per cent market share in the small cargo vehicle segment in India.
