Tata Power Solar bags ₹538 crore order from EESL

Tata Power Solar, one of the country’s largest integrated solar company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, on Tuesday said it has received a “letter of award” for building 100 MW of ground mounted solar projects distributed for energy efficiency. (LOA) has been received. Services Limited (EESL).

The total order value of the projects is 538 crores. The commissioning date of the projects is scheduled for 12 months, the solar company said in a regulatory filing.

With this win, Tata Power Solar’s utility scale EPC order book now stands at ~4GW (DC) capacity with an estimated value of 9,264 crore (without GST), thereby cementing its position as the country’s leading Solar EPC player.

EESL project sites are located in Maharashtra. Safe work includes engineering, design, supply, fabrication, fabrication, testing, O&M and commissioning of solar projects.

Speaking on this, Dr Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power said, “We are excited by the new contract win from EESL for distributed ground mounted solar EPC projects. This is yet another recognition of Tata Power’s strong reputation in the solar energy sector and project execution capabilities.”

Over the years, Tata Power Solar has been one of the leading Solar Rooftop EPC players in the country with compelling economics, especially for the commercial and industrial segment.

Tata Power Solar comes with a successful background of executing large projects, some 150MW Ayana in Anantapur, 50MW Kasaragod in Kerala, 56MW Greenco, 30MWp Solar Power Plant at Lapanga, Odisha, 105MWp Floating Solar at Kayamkulam (under implementation ).

It has also won the auction conducted by Gujarat for 400 MW projects to be built at Dholera Solar Park.
