Tata Power ties up with NPCI BharatBillpay to provide Clickpay services

This initiative will enable over 7 lakh Tata Power customers

NPCI Bharat BillPay – a wholly owned subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced its integration with Tata Power, the country’s largest integrated power utility on ClickPay – making it live on the newly launched platform. Became the first power company to be Offering Bharat Billpay – ClickPay will allow Tata Power customers to make monthly electricity bill payments with ease.

According to a statement issued by NPCI, this initiative will enable over seven lakh Tata Power (Mumbai) customers to pay their electricity bills using ClickPay.

“We believe that this partnership will benefit a large number of Tata Power customers in terms of seamless electricity bill payments. Nupur Chaturvedi, CEO, NPCI Bharat Billpay Limited said, “Customers now have the freedom to pay their monthly electricity bill with a few clicks, without the hassle of visiting the bill payment centre.”

In order to provide an automated and valuable electricity bill payment experience, Tata Power will generate the ClickPay link and share it with the customers which will redirect them to the payment page containing the payment details. Seamless and secure two-step process will help customers pay bills without entering bill amount or missing bill payment dates.

“This payment option will bring more convenience to Tata Power (Mumbai) 7+ lakh consumers to pay their bills digitally with just the click of a button. This will enable Tata Power to move its customers from the offline sector to the online platform. It may help in bringing the company,” said Mr. Nilesh Kane, Chief Distribution (Mumbai Operations) Tata Power.
