New Delhi: Tata Motors on Thursday announced the official unveiling of its upcoming subcompact SUV. punch Scheduled for October 4.
The Tata Punch, which will rival the Maruti Celerio, Mahindra KUV100 and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, is expected to go on sale by mid-October.
Tata Punch Based on the ALFA architecture, which also underlies Altroz. Sitting below the Nexon in the punch portfolio will be the entry-level SUV from the company.
Engine options are expected to be a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, with a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
The design cues of the punch are similar to those of the Harrier and Nexon. While the flush grille is inspired by the Nexon, the chunky headlight treatment comes from the Harrier family.
The punch is starting to arrive at dealerships and several spy shots suggest black upholstery, steering mounted audio controls and a 7-inch touchscreen.
