Teacher kidnapped after school manager’s husband accuses her of rape

A 22-year-old teacher was allegedly abducted in Shahjahanpur after her school manager’s husband was accused of rape, police said on Thursday. Police said the woman is still missing and the accused is yet to be arrested.

Referring to the FIR, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjeev Bajpai said that the man, a resident of a village under Tilhar police station area, took the teacher for some work to Shahjahanpur where he raped her in a hotel and recorded a video of the crime. Police said the accused repeatedly exploited her by threatening to kill her family members and made the video viral after she told anyone about the incident.

When the woman told her family about the incident two days ago, they went to the man’s house. However, he was threatened and sent back. After this, an FIR was registered on Wednesday night. The SP said that on getting information about the complaint in the police, the accused allegedly abducted the woman from her house.

Police said a case has been registered against the man under sections 376 (rape), 366 (kidnapping) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is on, he said.
