After recovering from injury, the ODI team will be led by regular captain Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul was the captain during India’s poor performance against the Proteas in ODIs.

All eyes are also on Kohli, who has not scored a century in any format since 2019.

Kohli did well in South Africa, where he finished as the fifth-highest run-scorer in the series, scoring 116 runs in three matches at an average of 38.66.
