Team ‘MintMoney’ wins NITK HackVerse 3.0 – Times of India

MANGALURU: Team ‘MintMoney’ from NIT-K, Surathkal with a project named ‘Museum Docs’ secured first position in Hackverse, a nationwide hackathon organized by National Institute of Technology Karnataka.

Team members – Dwaipayan Munshi, Nikhil Sahu and Jai Khandelwal won a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with gifts and special prizes.

The runner-up team with a cash prize of Rs 35,000 went to ‘Chhadam’, consisting of Tankala Yuvraj and Subrahmanyam Konakanchi of SRM University, with their project ‘Chhadam’. The 2nd runner up award went to Siddharth Sahni and Hari Vishnu Parashar of ‘Mugivara Notherem’ team of VIT Vellore from their project – ‘The Closet’.

HackVerse provides a platform for trailblazing innovation, where developers can analyze real-world constraints and hone their creativity. The third edition, HackVerse 3.0, was held online and ended on February 27. It received over 1,500 registrations from over 50 institutions across India.

According to the organisers, the event was conducted with hundreds of skilled candidates after a careful review process based on predetermined criteria and their technical profiles. Innovative and visionary projects were developed and presented.

The organizing team of HackVerse 3.0 included 60 students and faculty members from NITK, Surathkal. Soumya Kamath S, Anand Kumar M, from Department of Information Technology and Suprabha KR, School of Management as faculty advisors.

Prakriti Goel was the main organizer and Hrithik Pansuriya was the technical lead, both of whom were final year B.Tech students. Other student event members included Atreya Majumdar, Gaurav Chaurasia, Jhanvi Kancharla, Kriti Shukla, Neha Mane, Ramyashree GK, Hrithik Jain, Siddharth Ramesh, Sudipti Nalla and Yogesh.

Udayakumar Yaragatti, Director-in-Charge, NITK, Surathkal inaugurated the program. Ashish Banerjee, Technology Promoter of QZIP was the Chief Guest.
