Telangana: Backward class leaders ask Center to conduct caste census. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: After protesting in New Delhi, demanding that the central government consider this as well. backward class Caste Census, a delegation of National Backward Classes Welfare Association Union Minister meets Telangana G Kishan Reddy and submitted the memorandum.
Association President R Krishnaiah told the Union Minister that it is also necessary for the Central Government to conduct the caste census of BCs to ensure that the schemes for the welfare and upliftment of BCs reach the deserving population in the society as well, the Center will keep clarity on this. The amount of budget will be earmarked for the development of BC in the society.
R Krishnaiah urged Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to impress upon the central government that earlier in August 2018, the BJP government had agreed in principle to conduct the BC caste census. However, now the Modi-government is not ready to conduct the BC census.
Union members also participated in All India OBC Seminar in which Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale and YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy Support was given for the BC caste census among others.
