Hyderabad: After trying to forge a front with non-BJP non congress front with various regional parties, TRS President and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao Planning to form a national party. KCR He believes there is a political vacuum in the country and reportedly discussed starting a political party with senior leaders, ministers and MLAs of his party at a marathon meeting on Friday night. He reportedly considered names like Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Jai Bharat and Naya Bharat for his proposed national party.
However, the final decision on the national party in the party was extended to the working meeting to be held on June 19, which would be attended by all MLAs, MPs and other senior leaders. A decision on the national party is being taken before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top BJP come to Hyderabad to attend the BJP’s national executive meeting on July 2 and 3.
Party sources said political strategist Prashant Kishor allegedly advised the TRS supremo instead of forming a front. He is believed to have told KCR that there should be a platform to influence national politics, either leading a front or a national party.
Interestingly, Tungaturthi TRS MLA Gadri Kishor had written an article in a regional daily newspaper during the party plenary held in the last week of April this year converting TRS into a national party by naming it Bharat Rashtra Samithi . But KCR himself rejected such advice saying that there is no such proposal on the national front.
During Friday’s meeting, the TRS chief reportedly sought the opinion of various ministers and leaders on launching a national party, who supported the proposal, saying that both the Congress and the BJP national parties have failed the country.
KCR said, “The Congress party could not give a tough fight to the BJP in the elections in many states and was reduced to the third or even fourth position in the elections of some states.” Although she wanted to form a party before the presidential election, the process of registering the party and finalizing the flag takes time. Discussions were held on continuing TRS as the party flag at the state level and going for BRS at the national level.
KCR has been trying to play an important role in national politics since last few years and has met many leaders like CM Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Uddhav Thackeray and Hemant Soren, former PM HD Deve Gowda and former CM HD Kumara Swamy and Akhilesh Yadav. Yadav and discussed the formation of a Third Front. He later said that he was not working on an alternative front, but the country needed an alternate agenda.
