Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday announced a massive recruitment of around 80,039 jobs out of 91,142 in the state, in a significant development ahead of next year’s assembly elections. These vacancies were identified in various departments of the state.

The announcement came swiftly a day later as he had promised at the Wanaparthi public meeting during the budget session at 10 a.m. in the assembly to watch television for the same on Wednesday after participating in development programs. On the second day in the Vidhan Sabha today itself, he announced to fill these posts and issue related notification. The youth were overjoyed, he said that the local people would get 95 percent attendant jobs at the RDO level. The CM blamed narrow-minded opposition parties for the delay in going to the courts to fill up the posts and regularize the contract and outsourcing staff. He went back to nostalgia by saying that TRS leaders had to face all hardships, lathis and humiliations for the sake of the state.

“As per the orders of the new President, we have called for filling up of posts in state, districts, regions and multi-sectors and relaxation of age of 10 years,” he said. He said he found around 90,000 vacancies in the state after Partition and asked them to be filled with notifications as Treasury benches clapped the tables with applause. CM asked the concerned officials to take immediate action to release the relevant notification for the jobs.

The CM informed that the total posts to be filled are – 39,829 in districts, 18,866 in zones, 13,170 in multi zones and 8,174 in universities and other categories respectively.

Last December, the High Court allowed it to go ahead with the process of regularization of contract and outsourcing employees, he announced. “Now with the approval of the High Court, we are regularizing the employees from today itself and will start the process of filling up the officer posts. The government is fulfilling its big promise of fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
