Telangana Governor Comes To The Rescue Of Andhra Pradesh Cop Onboard Flight

The governor, who is a doctor by profession, visited the IPS officer during a flight.

Amravati:

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan discharged his duties as a doctor and saved the life of an Additional Director General of Police rank IPS officer on an Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi to Hyderabad.

Kripananda Tripathi Ujela, a 1994 batch officer, is now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad after contracting dengue fever.

“Madam Governor saved my life. He helped me like a mother. Otherwise I would not have reached the hospital,” Ujela told PTI over phone from Hyderabad on Saturday.

Mr Ujela, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh cadre, is currently posted as Additional DGP (Road Safety).

The governor, who is a doctor by profession, rushed to the IPS officer after he complained of uneasiness during a flight to the Telangana capital around midnight on Friday.

Ujela said, “My heart rate at that time was just 39 when Madam Governor measured it. She advised me to bend forward and helped me relax, which made my breathing steady.”

On landing in Hyderabad, he went straight to a hospital, where several tests were conducted on him.

He was diagnosed with dengue and his platelet count had dropped to 14,000.

Expressing gratitude to Governor Sundararajan, Ujela said, “If Madam Governor had not been on that flight, I would not have been able to. She gave me a new life.”
