A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili directed the HC Registry to allot a number to the petition, dismissing the objections raised later on the maintainability of the petition. The petition was filed by Mr. Raju in July 2021.

It was not listed as the Registry had raised some objections to it. Shri Raju said that some aspects of the cases registered by the CBI need to be further investigated so that the facts can be ascertained. On Tuesday, the bench said it would decide on the maintainability of the petition after hearing all the parties concerned.
