Telangana man approaches district collector over sale of substandard beer

We all have our own preferences when it comes to enjoying beverages. Some like pulpy and fruity drinks or summer coolers while others prefer milkshakes. Then there is a dedicated section of people who love their alcoholic beverages. Downing a glass full of your favorite drink brings a satisfaction that no amount of lip-smacking food can match. Among all the types of drinks available in the market, there is always one particular drink that appeals to us the most. And, it can be quite annoying if you fail to find your favorite drink and reluctantly have to compromise on the taste. A Telangana man faced a similar situation when he took his complaint to the district collector for not getting Kingfisher beer in his area.

The incident took place in Telangana’s Jagtial district, where a youth named Biram Rajesh approached a grievance redressal program called Prajavani with his unusual complaint. He said that cheap quality beer is being sold at liquor shops in his area which can harm the health of the drinkers. Rajesh said that there is a shortage of Kingfisher beer in his district. In his complaint, Rajesh insisted that the temperature had started rising and people wanted some beer to relax. He said that liquor shops should sell all kinds of beer, but they keep only locally made beer on the shelves, which is substandard and injurious to health. The youth urged the District Collector to look into the issue and resolve it News18.

Rajesh wrote a letter to the collector highlighting the non-availability of Kingfisher Beer. He said that people are forced to drink beer of poor quality due to not being able to drink beer of their choice. He also claimed that many times he had to walk long distances to get his favorite drink which sometimes resulted in accidents. Moreover, Rajesh said that the belt shops in the district that have Kingfisher beer sell it at a higher price Siasat Daily,
