Telangana minister slams PM for ‘refusing’ to accept a protesting state

Mr Rama Rao in a tweet challenged PM Modi to name one state which has performed all-round.

Hyderabad:

Ruling BRS leader and state minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that despite Telangana performing better than other states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “failed” to recognize and appreciate the state performing for “petty” politics.

Citing several achievements of Telangana in various fields, Mr Rama Rao in a tweet challenged PM Modi to name one state which has done better than Telangana in the last nine years.

In a tweet, Mr. Rama Rao said, “#VictoryTelangana. State with highest per capita growth in India, First state to provide drinking water to all households, State to complete world’s largest lift irrigation project, in India BEST RURAL DEVELOPMENT MODEL – 100% ODF PLUS VILLAGE 2nd largest paddy producer in India 2nd largest producer of IT jobs in India State winner of many international awards…

Still the PM of India does not have a single word of praise!! Refusal to accept a state working for petty politics. @narendramodi ji, I challenge you to name one state which has done better than Telangana in the last 9 years?”

PM Modi, who addressed a public meeting here on Saturday after laying the foundation stone and inaugurating several development projects, had said that the completion of several central projects in Telangana is getting delayed due to lack of cooperation from the state government.
