Hyderabad:
Two women in Telangana’s Nalgonda district were allegedly forced to shave their heads on the orders of some community elders, who held both responsible for the suicide of a teenager, police said on Tuesday.
He said that the girl had committed suicide about a week ago and her last rites were performed.
Later, her relatives allegedly found audio-records in her phone which purportedly indicated that the women were bargaining for money with teenagers aged 16 or 17, the police said.
He told that the girl and the girl belonged to the same village in the district.
Police said on the basis of a complaint by a woman that it is suspected that two women had killed the teenager, their heads were shaved.
A case has been registered on charges including illegal confinement and investigation is on, police said.
