This time poetry recitation, distribution of Ugadi Pachadi (a mixture made using raw mango, neem flowers, jaggery, tamarind, salt and chilli) and cultural programs were organized to mark the occasion of Ugadi. Panchanga Sravanam (Unveiling of the Astrological Panchang) was held in various Telugu organizations and temples in the city, which has a large population of Telugu speaking people.
“As the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we invited people to participate in Panchanga Sravanam and some other events to mark Ugadi,” said P. SatyanarayanPresident of Andhra Bhasha Bibardhani SamajAn organization of Telugu speaking people.
“This time we celebrated the festival by distributing pachadis among relatives and friends. We also invited people including Odia friends to attend the function,” said T Kishore Kumar Patra, the newly elected corporator from ward number one. 7.
