New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday that if the US Tesla There is ‘no problem’ if India is ready to manufacture its electric vehicles but the company should not import cars from China. The Minister for Road Transport and Highways said that his request to Musk is to come and manufacture in India.
“But if he wants to manufacture in China and sell in India, it may not be a good proposition for India,” Gadkari said.
Last year, the Ministry of Heavy Industry also asked Tesla to start manufacturing its iconic electric vehicles in India before considering any tax concessions.
