Kalyan: An employee of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) was beaten up by a man from Thane district ambernathi on Wednesday.
The employee has been identified as Eknath Talpade, a technician posted at Haji Malang Division of MSEDCL. Whereas, accused Somnath Jadhav is a resident of Newali Pada.
Hill Line police said the incident took place in Neyli Naka area when Talpade was working.
Jadhav had complained to Talpade that the service wire given to him 15 days ago had been burnt. Talpade said he would change the strings in the evening. Jadhav, however, got enraged and started thrashing Talpade with a hard metal object, injuring his head.
The victim is undergoing treatment.
Acting on Talpade’s complaint, Hill Line Police has started investigation by registering a case against Jadhav under sections 353, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
