Thane: Over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases reported in Kalyan-Dombivli Thane News – Times of India

The number of active cases has now reached 3,068. Keeping in view the rising number of cases, KDMC has made all arrangements to tide over the turmoil in the twin cities. On Thursday, KDMC Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryavanshi held a special task force meeting with city doctors and pediatricians. The task force briefed the doctors about the treatment protocol and also informed them that COVID-19 is spreading rapidly among children and pregnant women.
Dr Suryavanshi also appealed to the citizens not to fear that KDMC would hospitalize anyone who tests positive. Dr Suryavanshi said, “If a patient does not have the necessary facilities for home quarantine or if the doctor recommends hospitalisation, only then the civic body will admit the patient to designated COVID care centres. Otherwise, the patient will be at home. can treat.”
He also cautioned the citizens that children and pregnant women are spreading the virus and if they have any symptoms related to COVID, they should get tested without any delay.
