Thane: A 16-year-old Class X student of a school in Thane’s Wagle Estate was allegedly stabbed to death by a 16-year-old classmate in a violent minor assault on Monday.
Along with the accused, three of his friends who were with him during the fight have also been taken into custody. Two out of three are students of class XI and one is in class VIII.

Police inspected the crime scene
Police said the school is located in the Wagle Estate slum and the accused and the deceased knew each other well.
“The accused suspected that he was hit on the head on Sunday by the victim or one of his friends, who is the complainant in the case. He had not seen the face of the person who had hit him,” Datta Dhole, senior inspector of Wagle Estate police station, told TOI.
Police said the accused asked both of them about it and threatened them with dire consequences, which they ignored.
Presently the semester examination of the school is going on. After an examination was over on Monday, the accused asked the deceased and the complainant to meet him near a drain. As the two approached him, they saw that he was armed with a six-inch knife and was accompanied by three of his friends. Dhole said the teenager and her friends started abusing both and soon the main accused stabbed the victim.
The official said the victim was bleeding due to a lung puncture.
The accused and his friends fled the spot and the complainant started shouting for help.
Soon, someone informed the police and they reached the spot and carried out the Panchnama.
The police immediately formed teams and based on the details initially detained three juveniles and later the fourth. Dhole said, “It is still not clear how the boy bought the knife, but it is suspected that he had planned the murder in advance. Further investigation is on in the matter and the body has been sent for post-mortem.” ”
