Yezdi Scrambler to Jawa Perak . Likely to get the same engine

The Yezdi scrambler test mule has several ingredients that make it live up to its name. Beak-like front fenders, long travel suspension with fork gators and short rear fenders with tire huggers. The bike also gets a round headlamp and rearview mirror, a chrome-finished exhaust can and a peanut-shaped fuel tank. The elongated single seat looks stylish with the ribbed pattern. The bike is expected to get an analog console with a digital readout.

Though powertrain details have not been disclosed, the Yezdi scrambler is expected to borrow the 334 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the Jawa Perak. This four-valve mill produces 30 Bhp and 32.7 Nm of peak torque, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Some bicycle parts are likely to be shared between the Jawa and Yezdi models. Full details on the revival, launch and availability of Yezdi will be revealed next month.
