Kanpur: Two sisters were killed and another injured when the boundary wall of a private school collapsed following heavy rain. Akbarpur area of Kanpur Dehat Sunday Morning.
People removed the debris with the help of the employees of the Nagar Panchayat, took it out and sent it to the hospital.
Sonam (22), his sisters saloni (16) and Rain (10) The daughters of a Ram Krishna of Ramganj had gone to Akbarpur in connection with some work.
On their way back home, a dilapidated boundary of the Dev Samaj School fell on them and all three were buried under the rubble of the wall.
It took a lot of effort to clear the debris after heavy rain. Thereafter, people informed the Nagar Panchayat officials about the accident after which they reached the spot and started the rescue operation with the help of local people.
After taking out the three girls, they took them to the district hospital, where doctors declared Saloni and Sonam dead, while their third sister Varsha is undergoing treatment.
As per family members, “Sonam was a widow. She got married about two years back and her husband passed away recently.”
The police reached the spot and inquired about the incident. SDM (Sadar) Bagish Shukla said, “We are collecting facts. The school management will also be questioned in this regard. After the completion of the investigation, financial help will be provided to the victim’s family.
