Anjali’s body along with bones was later found naked on the road in Delhi’s Kanjhawala. Nicotine has confessed to being an alcoholic. Official sources say he drank more alcohol than two beachgoers inside the car.

The incident took place in Delhi’s Sultanpuri at around 2 am on Sunday when Anjali, who works in an event company, was returning home from work. Deepak was driving the car, while Jaitley, Shatru Mittal, Krishna and Mithun were sitting in the car.

Officials said that after driving for a few km, Deepak realized that there was something wrong with the undercarriage of the car. The car was stopped at Jonti village in Kanjhawala when Mithun, who was sitting next to Deepak, saw Anjali’s hand taking a U-turn. After their bodies fell on the road, he got down and instead of helping them, fled leaving Anjali there.

This led to the return of the loaned Maruti Baleno car to Ashutosh, who had loaned it to him. When the police trace the car’s owner, Lokesh, he reveals that he loaned it to Ashutosh, who loaned it to his friends Amit and Deepak.

The investigation probe also found that Anjali was with a friend when the car hit her. Sources said the friend suffered minor injuries in the accident and has recovered from photography. Police sources said they have taken the woman’s address and her statement will be recorded as part of the probe.

These people were arrested on Sunday night. They have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to death and criminal conspiracy. Home Minister Amit Shah has directed Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to conduct a thorough investigation amid massive protests by the local people.

Anjali Singh lived with her mother and younger siblings in Aman Vihar in North West Delhi. His father had died a few years back.

The woman’s mother Rekha alleged that these people sexually assaulted her. He said, “Her clothes cannot be discarded completely. When they found her, her whole body was naked. I want a complete investigation and justice.”
