Earlier, there were rumors that model-actress Reshma Nanaiah might be roped in for KD opposite Dhruv Sarja.
Kannada actor Dhruv Sarja is gearing up for the release of KD – The Devil. The fans of the film are eagerly waiting for the premiere of this film on the big screen. Amidst the huge hue and cry surrounding the Jogi Prem directorial, the makers have kept tight-lipped about the lead actress of KD. Now, to further fuel the public’s excitement, Jogi Prem has announced a piece of interesting information assuring the moviegoers that the name of the lead actress of KD will be revealed on April 28. The film director shared the announcement on Instagram on April. 25.
Hinting barely-there about the actress whose on-screen name will be Machalakshmi, Jogi Prem captioned his post, “When the king gets hurt in battle, the queen turns her pain into strength. Introducing KD Ki Rani – Machalakshmi on 28th April at 10:05 am.”
The seemingly impossible-to-guess poster featured a picture of a rooster against a rustic and rural background. The film’s title, KD was inscribed on the poster in impressive calligraphy. There were also blood stains found on both the letters to give an intense look. A red colored flag was also hoisted above the letter K.
Earlier, there were rumors that model-actress Reshma Nanaiah might be roped in for KD opposite Dhruv Sarja. According to the New Indian Express, the filmmakers were keen on casting a Kannada actress for the film, and Reshma was deemed suitable to slip into the shoes of the character. What’s more, the actress shares a good equation with Jogi Prem, after having worked together in the 2022 film Ek Love Yaa. But an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
KD is considered to be Dhruv Sarja’s most ambitious project. In an extensive social media post sometime back, the 34-year-old tweeted how he lost 18 kgs in just 23 days for the film, taking the internet by storm with his honest confession. Apart from Dhruv, KD also marks Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty returns to the Kannada film industry. Her character name is Satyavati.
Produced under the banner of KVN Productions, KD will be a pan-India marvel, to be released in five languages - Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The release date of the Dhruv Sarja directed film is still awaited.
