Tamil actor Suriya has created a special place in the hearts of many with his outstanding performances in films like Soorarai Potru, Jai Bheem, Viruman and Singham 3. Now, the actor is once again making all the headlines after his first motion poster. The upcoming action drama, Suriya 42, was unveiled on 9 September.
Suriya sought “best wishes” from fans and film enthusiasts for the upcoming project and wrote, “We wish you all the best as we begin our adventure! Suriya 42”.

The 1 minute 32 second clip is a visual spectacle that opens with a spectacular view of an eagle, flying majestically across the sky, giving out a raucous cry. At high speed, it dashes down into the territorial region, as the sky erupts with a roar of light.
As the bird swoops down, we catch a glimpse of a battlefield shrouded in darkness, visible only in the silhouette of a marching army, mounted on horses and the trumpet of a war elephant. As the video progresses, the scene shifts to the eagle’s point of view, where we see a fire burning on the ground.

The video ends with the eagle moving towards the hero as he faces the battlefield, and the bird perched on his shoulder. Surya can be seen decked out in armor with an ax in his hands. The amazing text layout, written in bold letters, reads “Surya in Surya 42 in 3D.”
Directed by Siruthai Siva, Suriya 42 is produced by Vamsi Krishna, Pramod and KE Gyanvelaraja under the banner of UV Creations and Studio Green. Apart from Suriya, the film also stars Bollywood Actress Disha Patani As the female lead, alongside actors Yogi Babu, Radin Kingsley and Kovai Sarla.
Suriya 42 is to be released in 10 languages. Other details of the film, which went on floors on August 8, are still a secret.
