The Google I/O event starts tonight. Where to see, what to expect

This year’s Google Input/Output or I/O event starts tonight. The Developer Meet will be held in the United States from May 11 to May 12. The Google I/O event is free to all and registration has begun on March 22 on the Google I/O page. The US-based tech giant has also rolled out a Google I/O puzzle. The Developers Meet will be conducted live with a limited audience and will also be streamed virtually. Admission is also free.

The event will begin at 10:30 PM IST and you can watch it through Google’s social media channels. Google CEO Sundar Pichai is expected to attend the keynote session. The event could shed light on Android 13, Wear OS and Google’s hardware business in the form of the Pixel 6a. There can be announcements related to Pixel Watch and Buds Pro.

The Metaverse is also expected to be one of the key elements of tonight’s Google I/O event. There is potential for improvement in Google’s existing services such as Google Maps, Google Pay and Play Store.

One of the exciting things about the digital I/O experience is the opportunity to reach a global audience. Content will be provided on demand and in different languages to serve all. Some translated content such as captioned videos may be available soon after the incident. Also check out what your local developer community is offering.

Registering for Google I/O 2022 allows you to save and view relevant content. As a registrant, you can also create a developer profile to get the most out of the digital experience. By registering, you will also receive non-spammy emails to stay updated on Google I/O, developer events and other relevant news.

Even if you don’t register, you’ll still be able to view sessions and Keynote, but you won’t be able to save content, get recommendations, or chat in an I/O adventure.

You don’t need to have a developer account, but creating a profile enables My I/O and gives you full access to the I/O adventure. You must be 18 years of age to register for this event.
