The Leather Fashion Show 2023 is back in Chennai after two years of the pandemic. Fourteen brands – national and international – displayed their Spring Summer collections which included leather jackets, shoes, bags and even fire fighting gear. The color palette featured breezy pastels as well as fiery shades of green and yellow.

Hosted by Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers and Exporters Association (IFLMEA) , Held at ITC Grand Chola, this edition showcased a wide collection of eco-friendly items produced sustainably at Leather Working Group (LWG) accredited tanneries. For example, Netherlands-based Solidaridad displayed bags made from industrial leather waste. Eco collagen sheets were used to mold raw materials into fashion products. Every product featured by the brand was made from recycled products.

International buyers participating in the event include brands such as Clarks, Marks & Spencer, Kickers and Hotters from the United Kingdom, Gabor, Ara Schuh, Leggero, Hoegel, Geox, Groupe Royer from across Europe, and Wolverine and Hush Puppies from the US.
