Anupama actor Paras Kalnavat, best known for playing the role of Samar, will no longer be a part of the show as his contract has been terminated by the makers. Paras, who shot to fame for his character and garnered a lot of praise from fans, has been accused of ‘breach of contract’ by the show’s production house. The reason the actor was asked to leave the show is because he has signed another show on a rival channel. For those who are unaware, Paras has signed a dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The actor will be seen in season 10 of the reality show and hence the production house has decided to terminate his contract.
In a statement released by the production house, he mentioned that he had to take strict action against Paras as he had signed up for a show on another channel without any prior notice. “The services of Paras Kalnavat as an actor for Anupama were terminated by Directors Kut Productions. Producer Rajan Shahi, who is known for producing the hit shows Anupama and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus,” said the statement. Jaanete, has taken a stand to terminate the contract of actor Paras.Kalanawat, who played the role of Samar in Anupama due to breach of contract of signing up a show on another channel’s show without any prior notice. Director’s Kut and Rajan Shahi have always been in sync with the actors and never stop the growth of any actor.In the past Paras was made to accommodate the opportunities that he would get with the consent of the production house and used to take.”
Rajan Shahi also shared, “We as a production house will not breach the contract. We have terminated his services as an actor with immediate effect. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours. “
On the other hand, Paras in an interview with IndiaExpress revealed that he chose Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa over Anupama for his personal growth. “Everything is great with Anupama but I haven’t seen my character develop. I have a lot of respect for Rajan sir and the team and I wish him all the best. At this stage of my career, I want to take up a new challenge.” Also, I must add that I had informed the production about my decision, however, due to the channel and contract terms, it would not be possible for me to continue with Anupama after signing Jhalak.” They said.

Talking about the upcoming dance reality show, apart from Paras, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nia Sharma, Neeti Taylor and Chef Zoravar Kalra have been confirmed as contestants.
